story update

we (me, nathan, rob) changed a few things, the biggest one being that Mango now meets a whole slew of soldiers hidden in the trees after waking from the explosion. that makes more sense than one soldier shooting at him, sending him into the mindroom, and then him waking up amidst thousands of dead soldiers (where did the bodies come from!). it's much more likely that all the soldiers would wait just behind the entrenchment where the gorillas got blown up, waiting for survivors to emerge. Mango takes them out, but wakes up--here's another change--wounded. now he's more of an even match for the remaining soldier.

we're also working on more dramatic angles/quick cuts for the final showdown, since it's not the greatest climax. lots of little details to be tweaked!

FREE GORILLA MODE:
wants survival, also interested in gun as something to help him out
escape the scariness of the 'dark room'
desperate, wary

SOLDIER GORILLA MODE:
kill human with bare meathooks, not interested in gun
just plain ol' angry, there's a method to his anger


any other suggestions for differentiating the two (to make animation clear)? tomorrow, after tony's class, we can all watch it again and take group suggestions for the whole story.

Hey Guys;

Here is what I have written down for meetings:

Mondays - 11am-12pm ----- Group Meeting
Tuesdays - 1pm-2pm ----- DQ Mentor Meeting
Thursdays - 10am-11am ----- Group Meeting

As for what was assigned for the weekend I didn't write it down but this is what I remember:

For Monday Each Section Should have:

Story: Story ideas, corrections.
Layout: Design: 3 Layout concepts, Detail and plant style.
Concepts and Color : Color studies on thumbnails.
