Hey ALL!
This message might seem a little redundant after Ran's email, but just thought I would mention a few things to people....
I was talking to King (from group A) earlier this week and he was telling me how he was stopped by some first years near the pitch packages on the wall. They asked him which film he was working on and he asked them which film they thought was the worst...the super hero one was their answer (which happens to be the film that he's working on). Then he asked which film they thought was the best....Hog Wild and Gorilla Warfare was their anwer. King said to me, "I hope your group realizes that your film is the most highly anticipated film this year." Apparently everyone thinks our film has real potential...its probably the most epic and the most challenging, but it's up to us...let's show them we can do it! After all, there's TWELVE of us; it's SO possible. We HAVE to put all personal issues aside, focus AND COMMUNICATE!!!!!

So heres the whole thing laid out with rough camera positions. I'll do a more refined one later with the storyboard panels beside it so you can really visualize the space.

Oh, and the Australasia Pavilion and washroom facilities haven't been added to the map yet, but they'll probably be near the Camels and Crocodiles...

Yo kids. Alexis and I will be pitching you guys our colour scripts tomorow. Things we have to decide:

1. Colour of the Gorillas

2. Colour of the Soldiers

3. Colour of the Cages

DECISIONZ

alexis's bg tests. we went with the top two, a mix between that would be nice.

thenn the meeting was like:
-grass long and dry
-3 cages drop in our clearing
-4 gorillas in each cage
-pan from ran's shot to allison's shot, then zoom in
-cage bars slide open like curtains
-archer has thinner stomach/legs/back end to emphasize powerchest

andddd tomorrow derek, bring your sculpey if you can find it! if not we can get clay from the bookstore. sculpting gorillas to get it into our heads more! yyyyeeeeah


MEETING SCHEDULE CHANGE
people want tuesday and wednesday, starting next week, since people like LIFEDRAWinGNNG on thursday.
THIS WEEK IS STILL THE SAME so go on wed (3 to 9) and thurs (4 to 9), but starting next week, it's tuesday (4 to 9) and wednesday (3 to 9). lifedrawing portfolio is due next week, so this thursday if people NEED to lifedraw then they can go pshh. but they still should be there from 4 (lifedrawing goes from 7 to 10).

Dudes and Dudettes,

I know you guys are all working on your rough layouts/thumbnails or at least i hope you are. You should have at least 1 rough layout to start animating on. This doesn't apply to those who are doing character/design pack. 

PLEASE bring your rough layout or thumbnails for tomorrow's meeting so we can compare and check for continuity.

ALSO, don't forget to bring your personal schedule, MAKE A COPY and give it to me tomorrow.

alright guys, so I have taken everyones input and sketches and this is what has come out of it- His Name is Archer (or archie) as Mango is no more - if people are really attached to mango he can be a secondary. What do you think about having the stripes on the chest?

* Edit* I Moved the jaw down, more squared off.. this guy is going to look so much more intimidating when staring down at the soldier then mango ever would!

More Gorlillies

Still working stuff out. These are some rough ideas, most of which are pure, unpasteurized crap. Not that you would pasteurize crap for any particular reason. I actually kinda like number 11, though he may not be the right vibe for our dude. I also sorta dig number 1 and number 6 (even though 6 is drawn really big and kind of faint. Anyway, keep posting stuff. We'll get there!
