oi idea

to tie in with the ending of the ape being replaced by another (clone?) ape, start off with the main ape waking up, not remembering anything, and then being told he's had a blow to the head and that he's actually Justice Ape or something? then viewers will be like Ooohh so it repeats. I like stuff that ties ends to beginnings. for example, this amazing animation mix:

what do you guys think? ideas?

lets draw...

Just some inspirational sketch ideas to get things rolling the black areas aren't completely black but that might different from each persons monitor. I added another one that didn't have the character in it i thought it looked better imo.

Story Synopsis

Current Version:

Justice Ape is called upon to defeat "space pirates". After an easy win, Justice Ape takes them back down under Utopia, where he discovers Utopia's bad underbelly. He tries to inform his scientist, but the scientist already knows and doesn't care. Inside Justice Ape, his Justice Gene grows in fury and overpowers Obedience Gene. As soon as he tries to fight against his superior, the scientist 'deactivates' him, and he turns back into a normal retarded ape. Another ape is brought in immediately to replace him, and Justice Ape is thrown to the world underneath. A shred of memory returns (perhaps jogged by seeing the "space pirates" again?), and he looks up in wonder at the floating garbage truck.

Ideas:
-Start with a beautiful shot of a waterfall in Utopia... pan down to polluted waters underneath. Some poor creature drinks it and promptly dies.
-Toilet flushing poop down, follow poop
-Kid throws garbage out, asks mom 'where does it go?', mom is on phone, follow garbage
-Ape is replaced by random animals (hamster, rabbit, parrot... etc)
-Ape is replaced by an exact replica ape, and the public never knows any better (hey we should be Clone Studios! Just kidding. [or am I... ooh])

REFERENCE IDEAS
-Ren&Stimpy (fun, super-stylized and fluid animation)
-1984 (corruption in government, 'Big Brother' idea similar to our scientist)
-Futurama (sewers VS surface world)
-Fallout (Vault = Utopia)
-Ghost in the Shell (futuristic world refs)
-Castle in the Sky, Mind Games, Tekkon Kinkreet
-iRobots, The Fifth Element, Blade Runner, 2046...

(I'm really sorry!!! I lost Rob's original synopsis, someone else must've picked it up. I went back when I found it missing, but couldn't find it)

Group Name

Well guys, all but one vote is in- but regardless is looks as though three little pegs is the winner.

I know some of you don't like it but remember, it doesn't have to have pigs in the logo. And it is just something to call us for the duration of the year that hasn't been taken.
Hopefully everyone is okay with this, as it reflects deeper thinking relevant to animation and story.
