Monday Meeting

Hey All;

As Co-op placements and Demo Reels take importance - everyone must remember that we are also committed to a group project as well. Group attendance second semester has been disappointing with a maximum attendance of 8 people. Everyone must remember that in order to make this film work we also must work. Attendance at meetings as well as continuing to develop our story and designs is very important right now.

As a Reminder: Our Final Lieca is due Next MONDAY!!!!

It would be appreciated if everyone could stay for a bit after life drawing this friday and work on the lieca together - this way we have everyone there to draw new scenes and give further feedback.

here are my notes from the meeting:
Everyone who met today had something to bring to the table idea wise. It was a very productive meeting..

The Beginning:

  • Replace the berry scene with the original idea of showing the gorillas "free" - Mango steps out of the cage and looks around in awe or wonder or fear as the other gorillas become soldiers.
  • Show the mind room more - solidify its meaning earlier on - maybe better to show Mango turn to a soldier first then go to the mind world to show the difference in character (either during, after or removing the dolly zoom)
  • Show Color changes in lieca when mind control is on or off
  • Early on combat begins and one Gorilla is hurt or killed (natural state still?) . Others stop for a moment to look and then mind control sets them back into combat.
  • Instead of a build up to action, drop the gorillas right into the battle.
  • Gorillas are dropped off into field - become scared by all the sound and movement - location and war going on
  • Start with a loud sound - scare factor to jolt audience into story
  • maybe inside cage is quiet and the sound only floods in after landing in field

The End:
  • Gorilla wants to escape the war - wanders through jungles, gets shot at, tries to flee but gets cornered by a larger group of soldiers
  • Build sympathy for mango - gets tormented by soldiers
  • Terrified (natural state) Mango flees to safety - looks around happy. smashed off armor.

That's it for now folks,

Angel
