Yo guys,I wanted to say a few words on preparation for the film. I really want to stress that the STRONGER our pre-production is, the more RESEARCH we do, and the more ORGANIZED, professionally PRESENTED, and FINALIZED our designs / modelsheets / templates are, the BETTER our film will be.

Pyrats (Gobelins) is one of the best student shorts ever made. I urge everyone to really look at their website and blog to get a sense of the level of professionalism/quality that went into pre-production BEFORE THEY STARTED MAKING IT.
a wobbly model sheet = unsure drawings = inconsistent animation = weirdness = suck
Consider that their group was only a 5 man job - we have 12! But having 12 is only a GOOD thing if every single person pulls it like each of those 5 dudes. The tendency is to think, oh we have more so lets contribute less. No - give it 150%. Do that, and this film will be no challenge.

We might consider doing sculptures of our characters as well like these below. I think they would REALLY HELP everyone draw the characters much better and feel that volume and form.
